Rev. Bridgette Hector-Mabote is a scholar, preacher, teacher and counselor. She is a native of Houston, Texas and a graduate of Howard University where she earned a BBA in Finance. She is also a graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA., where she earned both a Master’s of Arts in Christian Education and a Master’s of Divinity in Ethics & Pastoral Counseling. She is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She is currently in the dissertation phase of the Doctor of Theology (ThD) at the Atlanta Theological Association.
Bridgette has a wealth of experience in pastoral care and counseling. She served ten years as Director of Women & Youth Ministries at The Stewart Center in Atlanta, GA., twenty years as a chaplain between Emory Midtown and Northside Hospital systems in Atlanta, GA., two years as a pastoral psychotherapeutic training resident at the Care & Counseling Center of Georgia (CCCG) in Atlanta, GA., and three years as a Companionship Facilitator (mission co-worker) for the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the countries South Africa and LeSotho.
Bridgette is married to the love of her life, Tumo Mabote and together they fully engage a life of faith as they live and travel between South Africa and the USA experiencing and spreading God’s love with their family and friends.
